Faculty Development Programmes by CSE

1. FDP

The distinguished Amritsar College of Engineering & Technology (ACET) conducts Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) for the staff to embellish their teaching skills. The five days FDP was organized from 6th-10th June, 2011.
The Developing / Organizing authority for the programme was ACET, Amritsar. The Resource Person of the development programme was Mr. Ashok. The other Contributory, Institute or Industry was Mission 10x Bangalore. The target audience was the Faculty of the college.

The purpose of FDP was to “High Impact Teaching Skills”. That is to enhance teaching skills of the staff. The teaching staff should be timely updated with new techniques and methods. It also focuses on improving leadership qualities and personality development. This further leads to advancement of the students. In result which depicts the performance of the college.

2. FDP

The Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) are conducted regularly by the distinguished Amritsar College of Engineering & Technology (ACET). These programmes are for the developing skills of the staff. The two days FDP was organized from 28th-29th November, 2011.

The Developing / Organizing authority for the programme was ACET, Amritsar. The Resource Person of the development programme was Mr. Ashok. The other Contributory, Institute or Industry was Wipro Mission 10x. Faculty of the college was the target audience.

The purpose of FDP was “Advanced High Impact Teaching Skills”. That is to upgrade the teaching efficiency of the staff with advanced skills.

3. FDP

The Amritsar College of Engineering & Technology (ACET) carries out Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) for the staff. On 19th March, 2012 the one day FDP was organized.

The Developing / Organizing authority for the programme was ACET, Amritsar. Mr. Lokesh was the Resource Person of the development programme. The other Contributory, Institute or Industry was the college itself ACET, Amritsar. The Faculty of the college was the target audience.

The module description of FDP was to “CISCO Networking Technologies”. That is for the development of faculty regarding CISCO Networking Technologies. They educate about different skills used in the current scenario to build, design and manage networks. It also educates about the problem solving and rational thinking.

4. FDP

The eminent Amritsar College of Engineering & Technology (ACET) conducts Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) for the staff to embellish their teaching skills. The three days FDP was organized from 7th-9th May, 2012.
The Developing / Organizing authority for the programme was ACET, Amritsar. The Resource Person of the development programme was Mr. Vaibhav Bedarkar. The Contributory was the institute Punjab Technical University (PTU), Jalandhar. The Faculty of the college was the target audience.

The programme was named as”IBM DB2 Workshop”. It was for the development of faculty in the field of database.

The Developing / Organizing authority for the FDP programme was ACET, Amritsar. The Resource Person of the development programme was Mr. Sandeep Wadhera. The other Contributory, Institute or Industry was the college itself ACET, Amritsar. The target audience for the programme was the Faculty of the college.

The discussion of this FDP was about “Attaining the Energy Efficiency at Work”. That is all about motivational talk and aptitude building. Motivation is the key to success as it brings confidence in doing things in a better way. Aptitude building is done to disclose natural talents that further improve the performance.

6. FDP

The purpose of this FDP was “Team Building Exercise and Importance of Communication Skills”. The programme was about motivational team building and how to improve communicational skills. Team building is beneficial as it motivates employees, leads to better communication, promotes creativity and develops problem solving skills.

The Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) for the staff to embellish their teaching skills are conducted by the prestigious Amritsar College of Engineering & Technology (ACET). On 12th April, 2011 the FDP was catered for a day.
The Developing / Organizing authority for the FDP programme was ACET, Amritsar. Dr. Rahul Sharma was the Resource Person of the development programme. The Contributory, Institute or Industry for the same programme was the college itself and the target audience was the Faculty of the college.

The motto of FDP was “Spoken English (Communication Skills)”. That is development of faculty to improve communication skills. Communication includes reading, writing, listening and speaking. It is very important for the faculty to have good communication skills to be unparalleled in their field. With the good skills the message can be delivered in a right manner.

The Developing / Organizing authority for the programme was ACET, Amritsar. The Resource Person of the development programme was Dr. Gurvinder Singh. The Institute ACET, Amritsar itself was the organizer. The target audience was the Faculty of the college.

The topic of FDP was “Emerging Trends in Computing”. That is development of faculty regarding emerging trends in computing.

9. FDP

The eminent Amritsar College of Engineering & Technology (ACET) carries out Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) for the staff to embellish their teaching, communication and pronunciation skills. This FDP was organized on 7th May, 2013 for a day.

The Developing / Organizing authority for the programme was ACET, Amritsar. The Resource Person of the development programme was Dr. Rahul Sharma. The other Contributory/ Industry was the ACET institute. The Faculty of the college was the target audience.

The purpose of FDP was “Pronunciation Communication Skills”. That is to development of faculty pronunciation communication skills. Correct pronunciation is essential for a good communication. If the pronunciation is not correct the message can be misunderstood or give a negative impression.

10. FDP

The distinguished Amritsar College of Engineering & Technology (ACET) conducts Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) for the staff to enrich their teaching skills through various ways. The FDP was organized on 2nd July, 2013.
The Developing / Organizing authority for the programme was ACET, Amritsar. The Resource Person of the development programme was Ms. Ekta Vij. The Institute ACET was the contributory body. The Faculty of the college was the target audience.

The purpose of FDP was to “How to Use E-Journals”. The faculty was given complete guidance on how to use E- Journals. They are the publications that are available on the internet which are helpful in research work, case studies, providing plenty of information and are highly credible.

The Resource Person of the development programme was Dr. R.K Garg, Dr. Gurvinder Singh, Dr. Gurbinder Singh, Dr. Inderdeep Singh, Dr. Harwinder Singh, Dr. Jagdev Singh, Dr. Anish Sachdeva and Dr. Parmod Kumar. The Contributory Institute of the programme was Punjab Technical University (PTU), Jalandhar. The target audience was the Faculty of the college.

The purpose of FDP was the development of faculty in”Numerical & Computational Techniques in Engineering”.

12. FDP

The Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) are organized by the renowned Amritsar College of Engineering & Technology (ACET) for the staff for the betterment of their skills. The five days FDP was organized from 30thJune-4th July, 2014.

The Resource Person of the development programme was Dr. R.K Garg, Dr. Gurinder Singh, Dr. Jagdev Singh, Dr. Ashish Arora, Dr. Kulbhushan Agnihotri, Dr. Harinder Singh Gill, Dr. Vijay Kumar Banga, Dr. Tanupreet Singh and Dr. Vishal Sarin. The other Contributory Institute to conduct the programme was Punjab Technical University (PTU), Jalandhar. The Faculty of the college was the target audience.

The purpose of FDP was development of”Numerical Techniques for Engineers”.

13. FDP

The Amritsar College of Engineering & Technology (ACET) administers for Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) for the staff. This concept is to keep the staff up to date with the new teaching techniques. The three days FDP was organized from 25th-27th September, 2014.

The Developing / Organizing authority for the programme was ACET College, Amritsar. The Resource Person of the development programme was Dr. Rajashekharan and Mr. Mahesh. The other Contributory, Institute or Industry was Meridian Digital World and Wipro. The target audience was the Faculty of the college.

The FDP was held for”Faculty Development Program on Big Data”. That is development of faculty in Big Data Concepts.

The ACET (Amritsar College of Engineering & Technology) carries out Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs) for the staff to embellish their teaching skills. The five days FDP was organized from 1st-5th June, 2015.
The Developing / Organizing authority for the programme was ACET, Amritsar. The Resource Person of the development programme was Dr. Rajneesh Arora, Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Dr. Savina Bansal, Dr. Sandeep Sood, Dr. Sarabjeet Singh, Dr. Kawaljit Kaur, Dr. Anup Girdhar, Dr. Parminder Kaur and Er.Sandeep Kad. The Contributory was the institute Punjab Technical University (PTU), Jalandhar. The audience for the programme was the Faculty of the college.
The motive of FDP was “Optimization and Security in Information and Computing Technology”.
